So Mike and I were just debating on Google Talk how to keep people apprised of new info on here. I suggested that we recommend an RSS feed to everyone. Mike says maybe people don’t USE RSS feeds as religiously as I do. (I just started a month ago and now I’m addicted.)
He recommends the old school email method. Bah. That is sooo 1995.

I would like to clarify that I don’t recommend the “old school 1995 method”. I just want to make sure all the TNIers know about the blog and use the blog. If we spam the mailing list, that might encourage them to check the blog more. Of course, everyone should have someplace for RSS feeds that they check regularly and everyone should subscribe to the TNI Blog RSS feed… although you might want to wait until we get everything moved over to geekuniverse.org.

True. Spam is always effective in getting people’s attention. Unless it actually lands in their spam folder, like my confirmation/password did from this. *cough*
I just want to make sure that those NOT on the TNI Mailing List (like myself and the other women) are treated equally and fairly.

At work I subscribe to ~60-100 RSS feeds, at home ~1 (this site).

I subscribe to 1 feed only: http://www.phdcomics.com/

Holy smokes! What do you do with 60-100 RSS feeds?
And ev, you better start subscribing to this feed: http://tni.geekuniverse.org/index.php/feed/

So I started reading http://www.phdcomics.com/ and quite frankly, I didn’t find it very funny at all. Some of those “comic strips” are out right scary and hit way too close to home. I’m sure you think it’s funny Evan because you didn’t have to write a thesis.
Oh I get it. You’re making fun of me.

He calls me every day with things like, “You won’t believe what the Microsoft researchers in charge of are doing!”
But seriously… he’s keepin’ his skillzz fresh and current. What do you think?

I keep my skillz fresh and current by posting comments on the TNI blog.
